Out of Breath

I will be taking a sabbatical from the Lost and Found post that I have been writing. I want to encourage you to check out Jeff Dunn's (http://stadiumchurch.blogspot.com/) series that he has going.

If you know me at all, you know I am not a person who does a lot of running. I find myself out of breath after walking up my stairs at my house (keep your comments to yourself). Being out of breath is not a feeling I like to have.

So often in my Christian walk I find myself out of breath. Martin Luther said this about prayer, "To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing."

Are you out of breath? Do you find yourself struggling in your marriage? Your parenting? Your job? Your ministry?

I want to encourage you to catch your breath. Life is a lot better when your not short of breath.

Psalms 5:1-3

May the Lord bless you and keep you.

  1. The time to slow down and pray makes such a difference for me. It really energizes the work that I do, and helps with my focus. It is frustrating that I still so easily overlook its power.
